Karen has been weaving for approximately 16 years. The majority of what she produces generally is given to family and friends. She also weaves fabric and makes clothes for herself.

Some of items she makes are throws, scarves, baby blankets, jackets, coats, etc. The yarn she feels most comfortable working with is cotton, chenille, and silk although she has experimented with other newer yarns such as tencel and bamboo.
